They are already preparing for the convertible season at Ford
– For the first time in Europe, the California Special model version of the Mustang is officially available. But what does the sonorous name mean? First of all, it is worth mentioning that it cites the first CS models from 1968, which in turn was inspired by a 1967 Shelby GT coupe.
Currently available exclusively with a convertible body, the California Special is easily recognizable by its black-painted honeycomb grille, red GT / CS logos, and black-red-gray race strips. The lanes, which also include GT / CS inscriptions, stretch from the front of the car to the rear spoiler and also hide a secret ‘California Special’ inscription that only becomes visible in bright sunlight.

The California Special was decorated with unique design elements
– Heated / cooled leather seats at the front are standard, while the door trim is upholstered in gray Miko suede, embroidered with red stitching. There is an embossed GT / CS logo on the seats and carpets, and a carbon-colored aluminum trim on the instrument panel with a unique Mustang California Special plaque. The Ford SYNC can also be operated with 3 infotainment voice commands and an 8-inch central touch screen, which is of course compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto systems, and an internet connection is provided by the standard FordPass Connect modem.

The CS logos also appear inside
– There is no change in motor. The five-liter V8 is pounding in the nose of the car with 450 horsepower and 529 Nm of torque. In addition to the six-speed manual transmission, the 10-speed automatic transmission is also available, and the partially self-locking differential is included in the basic price, while the MagneRide shock absorbers come at an additional cost. However, the exact European price list for California Special has not yet been shown by Ford.
