Europa League kicks off: formula, dates, times and where to watch the matches on TV – Football

After the Champions League, the new season also starts on Wednesday evening Europa League which has the same formula as the major competition. Each team was paired with 8 others, 2 for each of the 4 bands, formed based on the ranking Uefa. There is a single classification of 36 teams that will directly qualify the top 8 to the round of 16 while sending the teams ranked from 9th to 24th to the 16th. The last 12 will be eliminated and, unlike last season, will not have the opportunity to continue their journey in the Conference. Therefore, the goal difference will also be important in addition to the points (15-16 should be needed to get among the top 8 and 9-10 to be sure of going forward, ndr).
