Europa League: Benfica win in Slovakia, FC Porto win in Macedonia | MORE PAGE

Handball teams Benfica and FC Porto won their matches in the Europa League this Tuesday, both away from home. Luz’s team went to Slovakia to beat Tatran Presov 24-16 and are still one hundred percent winning in Group C, while Dragão’s team went to North Macedonia to beat Vardar 26-22 and move up to second place in Group F.

We start with Slovakia, where Benfica recorded their third win in as many games. In the first half, the goalkeepers of both teams were in the spotlight, but the Portuguese team reached the break already with a three-goal advantage (9-6).

In the second half, the finishing of both teams improved (15 to 10), but with the Portuguese team always on top, guaranteeing a comfortable victory with eight goals.

Romanian international Demis Grigoras was the main man for Benfica, scoring seven goals, followed by Icelander Stiven Valencia and Spaniard Ander Izquierdo, who scored four each.

In the other game in group C, the Swiss team Kadetten Schaffhausen beat Limoges in France, they are in second place with four points, while the Gauls are in third place with two points and the Slovaks , in fourth and last place, still scoreless at the end of the third round.

Diogo Rema assured in FC Porto victory
