Eight trotting races were on the program for the fourth meeting of the season, yesterday afternoon, at the Hippodrome de Chartres. Six harness races and two mounted races.
A meeting which, like the three previous ones, took place behind closed doors, given the respect of the sanitary rules still in force.
On this point, Jean-Luc Thirouin, president of the Société des courses hippiques de Chartres, is hopeful that the racecourse will partially reopen to the public for the next meeting.
Eternal Love, favorite
With his second place obtained on April 25 at the Arras racecourse (Pas-de-Calais), Eternal Love, led by Benoît Vallette, was the big favorite of the sixth race.
From the start, he took charge of operations. And he kept it until the home stretch.

A few hundred meters from the finish, he was overtaken by three of his outsiders who had positioned themselves in his wake on the last lap: Europa de Chenu (n ° 5), led by Louis Baudouin, Daïquiri ( n ° 8), driven by François Lagadeuc, and Expeditous (n ° 7), driven by Marius Coignard.
It is in this order that the finish was validated by the race marshals, Eternal Love only taking fourth place.
