The Lotery (FDJ) has launched a “Research notice” on social networks. The winner of the Euromillions draw on December 2, 2022 has still not made himself known.

All we know is that he has validated his grid in Charente, and time is running out.
He must appear before this Monday, January 30 at 11:59 p.m. to pocket the tidy sum of one million euros won at “My Million”.

“My Million” is a game associated with the Euromillions, which guarantees a winner of one million euros in France for each draw. All combinations played in France are automatically assigned a “My Million” code (two letters and seven numbers).

A period of 60 days maximum

The FDJ only grants a period of 60 days maximum to come and recover its gain. The gaming company specifies that the My Million code of the winning ticket is the HR 390 6385.

To claim their prize, this phantom winner must contact the operator as soon as possible at the telephone number 09 69 36 60 60 asking to speak to the big winner service ».

“Each year, more than 100 players become millionaires in France thanks to the numerous “Euromillions My Million” draws. Among these players, only 2 to 3% never make themselves known to the FDJ, “says the site draw-gagnant.com.

If we never know the exact reasons that led to a win not being claimed, the most probable hypothesis nevertheless remains that these players were never aware of their win, probably not checking their receipt. game or simply having lost it.

It’s not the state that will pocket the bet this time

If this winner does not appear, it is not the state that will pocket the bet this time. This money will go to the Française des jeux which will put the sum back into play later during a next special operation.

This “jackpot” win does not enter in the State Gains Recovery Pact Act. Since the entry into force of this law in November 2019, the French State is no longer the majority shareholder of La Française des jeux (FDJ), but remains the beneficiary of dividends and the recipient of taxes on stakes, and can also recover prizes not claimed by bettors.

Until now, these sums were set aside by the Française des jeux in a fund dedicated to commercial operations or for super draws, via a kitty fund. From now on, the winnings “forgotten” by the winners of the Loto, EuroMillions, My Million or even Keno, are donated to the state coffers. Only Tier 1 winnings from EuroMillions, Loto and My Million (like this one) are exempt from this regulation.
