A bell from the Commission for the withdrawal of community funds due to two years of obstruction in the completion of the Transfer Stations that will allow the integrated management of garbage is ringing for the Region of Epirus, according to a publication in “Neo”.
Specifically, according to a complaint received by the competent Directorate General for Regional and Urban Policy of the European Commission (DG REGIO), integrated waste management has not yet become possible in the Municipalities of the Epirus Region, since even though 7 of the 8 Stations have been built two years ago Waste Transshipment Station (WTP), none of them were put into operation.
