The Euro 2024 qualifying match between Belgium and Sweden, which took place yesterday in Brussels, has been canceled and postponed indefinitely.
This meeting began as scheduled, but just before it began, two people wearing the Swedish national team uniform were shot dead in the center of Brussels. Another fan was injured. According to unofficial information, the shooter loudly uttered the phrase “Allahu Akbar” during his actions.
The first half of the Belgium-Sweden match was played in full and ended with the score 1:1, but during the break the guests took the initiative to suspend the game. The Belgians accepted this proposal, and later UEFA, after consulting with the participants in the match, as well as the local police, decided to cancel the match.
