This means that the current European champions have caught up with the Ukrainian team in the standings, and due to the victory in the head-to-head match, they have surpassed it. Thus, in order to go to Euro 2024, Sergei Rebrov’s team must beat Italy.
In another match of the group, England defeated the San Marino team. Harry Kane didn’t leave the field without scoring.
In Group E, both teams were determined and won tickets to the European Championship. The Albanian team was the first to do this. The victory in Chisinau secured first place in the group, but Vladislav Baboglo’s goal allowed the hosts to escape defeat – 1:1.
The second match, in which the Poles hosted the Czechs, ended with the same score. This result allowed the Czech team to qualify for Euro 2024. And the Poles are waiting for the playoffs.
Finally, in Group H, the Danish team, having beaten the Slovenes, secured first place. But the fight for the second spot will be somewhat reminiscent of the final. Slovenia is only a point ahead of Kazakhstan, and on November 20 these teams will meet each other in Ljubljana. Kazakhstan, like Ukraine, only needs a victory.
