In 91 seconds, however, the Hungarians took back the sensational lead. Ádám Szalai knocked the ball to Schäfer, who headed the ball into the net in front of the running goalkeeper Neuer.
The Germans were not far from sensationally dropped out. In the 80th minute, Kroos narrowly missed the distant rod and the embarrassment was averted four minutes later by the alternating Goretzka, who sent the ball into the net after several bounces.
