Euro 2020 quarter-final. England crushed Ukraine

All clear. The last Euro 2020 semi-finalist will be England. She defeated Ukraine 4-0 in the quarter-finals. Harry Kane scored two goals. Today Denmark advanced to the semi-finals, and on Friday Italy and Spain.

England’s footballers on Saturday evening in Rome defeated Ukraine 4-0 and completed the group of semi-finalists of the European Championship. They will face Denmark on Wednesday in London. The day before, also at Wembley, Spain will play against Italy.

The charges of coach Gareth Southgate were definitely the better side. They took the lead in the fourth minute, when Harry Kane hit the net.

Later, the English slowed down, controlled the game and didn’t push the pace. At the end of the first half, the Ukrainians managed to drive into their penalty area twice, but ultimately nothing came of it.

After the break, the “Islanders” set off again with great enthusiasm and quickly deprived their rivals of any illusions. In the 46th minute a free kick was taken by Luke Shaw, and his Manchester United teammate Harry Maguire scored with a header shot.

The Ukrainians did not manage to shake them off, and were already losing 0: 3. This time, Shaw crossed from the game, while Kane showed an effective header.

The result in the 63rd minute was determined by Jordan Henderson, introduced a moment earlier. The Liverpool midfielder also headed the goal, taking advantage of Mason Mount’s corner from a corner.

The Ukrainians tried to score an honorable goal, but in football they were simply the weaker team. England was saving energy for the next game and the result has not changed anymore.

The English have not conceded a goal at the current tournament. They started with a 1-0 win against Croatia, then a goalless draw with Scotland and wins with the Czech Republic 1-0 and Germany 2-0.
