In Les Bâtes, in Dreux, parents are mobilizing against the closure of a class
At the elementary, thirteen classes should be closed at the start of the next school year. It is :

Mobilization against the closure of a class
As for the classes of large split section (twelve students per class to promote better teaching), in kindergarten, are closed:
– Doctor-Semmelweis in Dreux and Saint-Exupéry in Dreux.
For elementary schools, split classes in CP/CE1 are closed at:
– Paul-Bert, Jean-Zay and Michelet, in Dreux
– Pierre-de-Coubertin and Jean-Zay in Mainvilliers
– Curie and Jean-Macé in Châteaudun
– Gérard-Philippe in Vernouillet
– Jean-Macé in Nogent-le-Rotrou.
Les Ulis closed
Two classes in Ulis (Localized unit for inclusive education) will close at:
Marcelin-Berthelot in Dreux and Les Remparts in Brezolles because, according to Evelyne Mège, the academy inspector, “there are no more children concerned in the sector.”
Permanent closures
Évelyne Mège assures that “the thirty-seven closures are final excluding last-minute student registrations”. The closing or opening of a class is decided “solely according to the number of children registered”, she specifies.

Two new replacements
Évelyne Mège announced that two replacement teachers would strengthen the workforce from September. They will thus be 193 to be able to provide replacements.
Given their small number of students, the municipalities of Saintigny, Logron and Conie-Molitard should have seen their school lose a class. But they were saved by the charter of rurality in which the National Education undertakes not to close classes in certain rural areas.
