La Chartraine 2020: instructions for use
After buying their bibs on “La Chartraine” website from June 18, 2020, participants must walk 10 kilometers or 5 kilometers of race between October 1 and 31, 2020 in France and worldwide. “Then, the participant sends us his GPS proof of run by email and he will receive his medal in stride. But above all he will be proud of what he has achieved for the Eurelian patients”, announces Joselito Levoye.
Two types of bibs will be sold: a bare bib at 10 euros and a “Flammy” bib with the name of the mascot at 15 euros (5 euros will be taken to finance the organization).

In 2019, 999 people participated in Chartres and 500 around the world with virtual bibs. This made it possible to collect 9,999 euros for the Eure-et-Loir Cancer League.
“The League against cancer uses this money to help financially the sick, to offer sophrology courses, beauty treatments, yoga sessions but also for research and prevention and screening campaigns.“, explains Joselito Levoye.

The little story of the birth of “la Chartraine”
Joselito Levoye is an optimist. Cured of a first cancer in 2013 then of a second in 2017, he created his team “The flames in pink” to embark on the half-marathon and solidarity races.
“I wanted to prove that it was possible to run. It’s my outlet and my daily scanner. If I have no pain anywhere after 15 kilometers of racing, it is because everything is fine.”
And then he realized that there was no race against cancer in Chartres for Pink October: the month of mobilization for the fight against cancer. Only existed The pink strides in June.
After having obtained the authorization to illuminate in pink from the cathedral of Chartres in 2018, he created “La Chartraine” with his team, which has 60 members today. “We wanted our race like the Versaillaise or l’Orléannaise. So the Chartraine was obvious. Sport is an excellent medicine and running in particular. ”

For the success of this 2020 edition, 100% virtual, this Chartrain of Italian origin counts on the 3,500 subscribers of its Facebook page, on its network, and on the other associations that the “Flames in Pink” team supports. :
