The confinements caused by the health crisis have increased the demand for awnings and outdoor equipment, such as pergolas to make the most of terraces and gardens. For manufacturers, between the race for materials, recruitment and recovery, the season is busy. Pictures in Eure-et-Loir.
Winner of France Relance with € 780,000 in state aid to invest and enroll in the industry of the future, KE France, located in Tremblay-les-Villages (Eure-et-Loir), received a visit from the prefect of the department on Tuesday, July 20, 2021.
The opportunity for Jérôme Foucault, general manager of the site, to reiterate his desire to be part of the design and manufacture of interior, exterior and pergolas blinds.
Sustainable jobs
In particular, the Eure-et-Loir site recruited thirty-two people this year, including seventeen on permanent contracts. “In the three years, there are forty jobs to the key”, underlines from the outset Jérôme Foucault, arrived in the company before the health crisis of Covid-19.
At a time when machines sometimes take precedence over humans, I AM France, and the manufacture of indoor and outdoor equipment requires human needs.
We manufacture for professionals but a major part of our final production is found in private homes, so we do 100% tailor-made. Our job will therefore remain mainly manual.
And soon pergolas
On the investment side, the site has grown by 700 m2, and now has a dynamic storage system.
Next step: the repatriation, in 2022, to Tremblay-les-Villages, of the production of pergolas, in canvas and bioclimatic (aluminum), which are today made in Italy. The production in France is expected to start in 2022.
“Our goal is to register as a benchmark for this equipment, by always offering quality equipment, the group of which we are part, Bat, is very integrated, it manufactures in particular all our components”, concludes Jérôme Foucault.
