Eure-et-Loir: an MRI will be implanted at the end of 2023 at the Chateaudun hospital

This is a project that has been carried out for many years by the hospital center of Châteaudun. That of having Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) equipment. The project, which was recently validated by the Centre-Val de Loire Regional Health Agency (ARS), was carried out around a public-private partnership. “We were able to do all of this thanks to a partnership between the City and the hospital. The radiologists from the Hervely company, who work at the Châteaudun hospital and who have been using the scanner since 2004, have enabled our establishment to file its file”, emphasizes Anne Constantin, the establishment’s director.

The arrival of this MRI is a real plus for the population and the territory. “This precision equipment, in terms of diagnosis for access to care, is a decisive element”, underlines the manager. A real plus for the south of the department, since until now, “the population had to go to different towns 50 or even 60 km away, whether in Eure-et-Loir, Chartres or Dreux, but also in neighboring departments, such as Vendôme, Loir-et-Cher, and even Paris. “With the arrival of state-of-the-art equipment, “it’s a good signal for the professionals of the establishment but also for the future of the hospital”, she continues, summarizing it all: “Implanting an MRI it is to promote attractiveness. »

“It’s a great victory for our city”

“This is a great step forward for our territory”, welcomes the mayor of the town, Fabien Verdier. The one who is also president of Grand Châteaudun recalls: “We promised it in our program. This is a great victory for our city and our territory. The health of Dunois is our priority. In addition to scanners, imaging and the technical platform of our hospital are expanding and developing

Installing the device will still take some time. A period of eighteen months is announced. “We plan to open the MRI at the end of 2023. We will have to build a building on the hospital site, which will adjoin the building that houses the scanner. The cost of this project is estimated at two million euros. As a reminder, the Châteaudun hospital will benefit from an envelope dedicated to Ségur de la santé of 10 million euros for pharmacy and emergencies (2023) as well as for the operating theater (summer 2022). Anne Constantin does not want to stop there. The Nogent-le-Rotrou hospital, which she runs, has also opened a file and is working on a project to set up an MRI on its site.
