Eumelin González Sánchez, elected as the new Governor of Pinar del Río. Niurka Rodríguez Hermandez was ratified as Lieutenant Governor.
Comrade Eumelín González Sánchez is a Deputy to the National Assembly of People’s Power. He has held various responsibilities in the Party, in the Pinar del Río municipality, instructor and member of the bureau to attend to activities, agri-food and ideological politics, and in Viñales First Secretary. From November 2021 to date, he has served as a Member of the Provincial Bureau of the Party that attends to economic activity and services.

The comrade, Rubén Ramos Moreno, who served as Governor until today, concludes in this responsibility, as part of the natural process of renewal of Government and State cadres, after having served for more than 20 years as a cadre of the People’s Power, in Mantua, Vice President and President, and at the provincial level, Vice President for attention to various activities and later Governor.

The Provincial Bureau of the Party in Pinar del Río, recognizes comrade Rubén for his unlimited dedication to the fulfillment of his tasks with the use of appropriate methods, his simplicity and sensitivity to problems, as well as for the incessant search and application of alternatives, Together with the people of Pinar del Río, in the face of the difficulties in this complex and difficult period that we are going through, in which he had to carry out his duties as Governor, under the atrocious impact of Covid19, Hurricane Ian and other weather events, the energy contingency, the increase in the political and communicational aggressiveness of the enemies, together with the intensification of the imperialist blockade.

From now on, comrade Rubén will assume other responsibilities in the administrative activity, from where he will continue contributing to the promotion of the tasks of the Revolution.
