(TELEMUNDO ATLANTA).- Beloved Mexican actor Eugenio Derbez reappeared in a video in which he offered some details about his health after the sudden fall that left him with 17 fractures to his left shoulder, which kept him away from the cameras for several weeks.
On Instagram, the director also posted a video on Sunday in which he said that after the surgery the doctors told him that “never again” would he be able to fully raise his arm, but assured that he would try to challenge them and continue rehabilitation therapies until its success.
For now Eugenio Derbez has stated that the evolution is going well, and in fact has already recovered part of the mobility in the affected arm. “Having had 17 fractures, I am doing very well. The doctors told me I would never be able to raise my arm above my shoulder again…and my idea is to defy the doctors and succeed,” he enthused.
“I’m fine, I still can’t raise my arm, I don’t have much strength in my hand yet, but I already move it quite well,” he added. In turn, she said that the band on her arm had already been removed and that she wants to resume all pending projects soon: “Back to work, not a hundred, but here we are”.
During the taping, the 61-year-old comedian also spoke to Mexico goalkeeper Guillermo ‘Memo’ Ochoa, at the opening of the World Cup in Qatar.
Both spoke about the role of the VAR system at the World Cup, the absence of alcoholic beverages in stadiums due to Qatari laws and recalled the experiences of the Mexican team in participating in the top international soccer tournament.
