between the European Parliament (EP) in member countries ‘Ozon layer’ negotiations have concluded. Accordingly, the use of substances that cause global warming will be reduced.
Accordingly, the consumption of hydrofluorocarbons (organic molecules containing hydrogen and fluorine) will end completely by 2050.
Rights allocated to produce hydrofluorocarbons will be phased out from 2036. Both production and consumption will be gradually reduced through a quota allocation program.
Semiconductors will be exempt from the hydrofluorocarbon quota allocation system.
Various categories of products and equipment containing hydrofluorocarbons will be prohibited from being placed on the market, including household refrigerators, coolers, foams and aerosols.
The sale of products containing fluorinated greenhouse gases (F-gases) will gradually end. Small heat pumps and air conditioners containing F-gases will be banned from 2027. The ban on F-gases in split air conditioners and large heat pumps will be valid from 2035.
After this stage, the regulation will come into force after being officially approved by the EP and member countries.
