Wangelsa (Germany), May 13, LETA – DPA. The European Union (EU) plans to allocate another 500 million euros for the supply of arms and other military equipment to the Ukrainian armed forces, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Joseph Borrell said on Friday.

British Foreign Secretary Lisa Trasa has also called on Ukraine to supply more armaments.
“It is now very important to keep up the pressure on [Krievijas prezidentu] Vladimir Putin, supplying Ukraine with more weapons, tightening sanctions, “The route said during the summit.
“In this crisis, the unity of the G7 has been instrumental in protecting freedom and democracy, and we will continue to work together to do just that,” she said.
Since Russia launched a large-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, Western countries have provided financial and military assistance to Kiev, but no country has sent troops to the conflict zone.
On 28 February and 23 March, the EU agreed on a € 1 billion aid package for Ukraine. On April 13, another 500 million euros were added to the aid package.
