Mass vaccination of the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19) has begun in earnest on the 27th (local time) in Europe, where the new coronavirus mutation is spreading recently.

According to the U.S. NBC Broadcasting, the European Union (EU) member countries such as Germany, France, Italy, Portugal, and Spain have been jointly developed by Pfizer, a US pharmaceutical company, and Bioentech, Germany, for corona19 high risk groups such as elderly and medical workers. The vaccination was started. The Pfizer vaccine was approved for use by the EU Commission on the 21st.

EU member states will start vaccinating Corona 19 sequentially until the 29th, and after the first quarter of next year, the general public is also planning to receive the vaccine.

In this regard, German Health Minister Jens Schfan said through a leaf tweeter that “the German government plans to distribute more than 1.3 million doses of vaccine to local health authorities by the end of this year.”

In Germany, a 101-year-old woman living in a nursing home in Saxony-Al-Hart state received the first Corona 19 vaccine on the 26th, one day ahead of the so-called’V Day’, the start date of the Corona 19 vaccination of EU member states.

In France, a 78-year-old woman living in a nursing facility in Sen-Saint-Denis in Ile-de-France became the first COVID-19 vaccine.

Hungary and Slovakia also started vaccination against Corona 19 a day before’V Day’, and Prime Minister Andrei Bavasi got the first vaccine in the Czech Republic on the 27th.

According to the U.S. Johns Hopkins University statistics, out of the total population of 450 million people in 27 EU member states, only 15 have contracted Corona 19, of which 353,000 have died.

Meanwhile, as the novel coronavirus mutation, which was first reported in the UK at the end of September, was recently discovered in various parts of Europe such as France, Ireland, and Sweden, each EU member state has taken measures to restrict or suspend flights to and from the UK. Is in a hurry.

Corona 19 vaccine makers such as Pfizer believe that their vaccine will have a preventive effect against mutant viruses.

Following the Pfizer vaccine, the EU is aiming to approve the use of the Corona 19 vaccine made by the US pharmaceutical company Modena within next month.
