EU shows support for Ukraine after “new bloodbath” caused by Russian attack in Poltava

The European Union on Tuesday showed its support and solidarity with Ukraine following the “new bloodbath” caused by a Russian bombing of the Ukrainian city of Poltava, which has left at least 51 dead and 271 injured after two missiles hit near a hospital and a school.

“This is another targeted bloodbath that demonstrates Russia’s determination to continue its brutal war against Ukraine and its people, “They are trying to cause as much loss of life as possible and inflict large-scale devastation. We share the pain of the families of the victims and stand with the Ukrainian people,” said EU Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Peter Stano.

In this regard, he stressed the need to continue supporting Ukraine. in their right to “self-defense” and to “effectively” repel such attacks, as well as to force back Russian troops.

Finally, he asserted that Russia “has not ceased to terrorize the Ukrainian population” since the start of the invasion in February 2022 through “indiscriminate” attacks with missiles and drones directed “cowardly and mostly” against civilian targets.
