According to Brussels, the consumer’s right to be able to choose how to be “compensated” is violated

In parallel, Brussels has opened infringement procedures on 10 states, including Italy, regarding similar problems on entire holiday packages in which the possibility of obtaining a refund, if any, exceeds the times established by EU rules. In addition to the Peninsula and Greece itself, this procedure, opened by sending formal letters to the respective States, also concerns the Czech Republic, Cyprus, France, Croatia, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal and Slovakia.
