The representation of the EU Commission in Germany is between May and September 2023 eleven children and family events in Germany on a tour of Radio TEDDY, the children’s and family radio station. prelude of“Radio TEDDY-Tour” is this OKiDOKi Children’s Festival, which takes place on Saturday 20 May and Sunday 21 May at Charlottenburg Palace in Berlin. “The EU – that’s you! That’s our mottosaid Jörg Wojahn, representatives of the European Commission in Germany before the start of the tour. “With this we want to show children and families that the European Union is not taking place somewhere in Brussels, but is much closer and more tangible than they might think. Together with Radio TEDDY, we want to show young radio listeners the diversity of Europe and bring them a little closer to the EU.“
„The European elections are in June 2024, and this time young people aged 16 and over can also vote. It is therefore all the more important to talk to children and young people about Europe,” added Jörg Wojahn. “We are really looking forward to getting to know the big and small Radio TEDDY fans in person and hearing from them how they imagine the Europe of the future to be.“
Visitors can look forward to an information stand and activities for children and young people, where they can learn something about the EU in a playful way. Children and parents can win great prizes on the EU Wheel of Fortune or the Europe Quiz. They can also let their creativity run wild and design colorful EU bags, color in coloring books or have temporary tattoos made. The EUROPE DIRECT centers are also on site to provide information about EU offers in the region and to answer questions.
