Ettlingen – From August 23rd to 25th, Ettlingen’s old town will be transformed into a lively festival mile. For three days, visitors can expect a colorful program with music, culinary delicacies and arts and crafts.
28 bands will provide musical entertainment on five stages. Culinary delights will also be on offer: 30 clubs and five partner cities will offer a diverse selection of food and drinks. There will be special offers for the youngest visitors on Saturday and Sunday, such as face painting, a bouncy castle and a magician.
In the castle courtyard, the twin towns bring European flair to Ettlingen with typical drinks and specialties. Epernay presents a selection of champagne, while Clevedon offers the popular herbal liqueur ‘Pimm’s’. Lausitzer Porter is available at the Löbau stand, and the Middelkerk representative serves ‘Jus de Mer’ beer. The Sicilian twin town Menfi is represented for the first time with ‘Arancini’ and other Italian products such as wine and olive oil.
On Saturday and Sunday, arts and crafts will be presented in and around the Schlossgartenhalle. On Sunday, visitors can stroll through Leopoldstrasse from 11 a.m. and find out about the offers of Ettlingen’s clubs and organizations at the “Volunteer Mile”.
For night owls, the Kino Kulisse opens its doors on Friday and Saturday evenings from 11.30 p.m. for the after-party of the ‘Ettlingen by Night’ series. Further information is available at www.ettlingen-by-night.de.
