Air company Etihad Airwayswhich is the national carrier of the United Arab Emirates, announced today start of flights to Prague. The new regular line will connect from June 2, 2025 Prahu s Abu Dhabiwhich is the capital of the United Arab Emirates. Etihad deploys on flights Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner with a capacity of 290 seats. There will be 28 seats in business class and 262 seats in economy class on board. The line will be operated four times a week.
According to the published flight schedule, there will be departures from Prague every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 11:20 a.m. with an arrival in Abu Dhabi at 7:05 p.m. There will be departures from Sheikh Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi at 2:50 a.m. on the same days, arriving in Prague at 7:15 a.m.

“We are very pleased that after almost 11 years, and also after a number of negotiations, we managed to confirm the connection between Prague and Abu Dhabi with Etihad Airways and their Boeing B787-9 Dreamliner,” Jiří Pos, director of Prague Airport, commented on the opening of the line. “This expands our long-haul network again and we can offer passengers another important Middle Eastern destination with great local potential and a network of connecting connections to Asia, Africa and Australia.” added Pos.
For passengers from the Czech Republic, the new Etihad Airways route will be interesting because it will connect not only with Abu Dhabi, but also with other destinations in the company’s network. These are mainly destinations in the Middle East, the Indian subcontinent, Southeast Asia and Australia. The arrival of another networked Middle Eastern airline will further expand the offer of flights to these destinations from Prague. Greater competition between carriers should lead to more attractive ticket prices.

At the same time as the announcement of the new route to Prague, Etihad Airways also announced start of flights to Warsaw. The airline will also fly to the Polish capital four times a week with Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners. Departures for Warsaw will be every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
Tickets for the new routes to Prague and Warsaw are already on sale on the Etihad Airways website. Now you can buy return tickets to Abu Dhabi with a checked suitcase for prices starting at 16,600 crowns. It can be expected that Etihad will introduce more favorable ticket prices from Prague not only to Abu Dhabi, but also to other destinations in its network.
