Ethiopian long-distance runner Guje Adola triumphed in the prestigious Berlin Marathon on Sunday. The fastest for women was his compatriot Gotitoma Gebreslase, who was informed by the organizers.
Adola reached the finish line after two hours, ten minutes and 45 seconds.
Kenwell Bethwell Jegon finished second, while two-time champion Kenenis Bekele from Ethiopia remained in third place.
Gold winner Gebreslase finished in two hours, 20 minutes and nine seconds.
In 2020, the Berlin Marathon did not take place due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
