ÉTER Operation Returns: Get €1 Tickets to Travel in the Hauts-de-France Region

The annual ÉTER operation returns from July 7 to August 27 with thousands of €1 tickets to travel in the region. It’s the right plan to go for a trip to the sea, to the city or to the countryside in the area. There are even tickets to go to the various festoches in the region. Attention, new this year: there will be two waves of ticket sales, June 27 and July 25.

If you stay in Lille this summer, don’t resign yourself to limiting yourself to the Lille metropolis for lack of budget for a short getaway. Each year, the Hauts-de-France region puts on sale thousands of tickets at €1 one way (and €2 round trip) to see the country. Finally when we say “country”, we mean Nord-Pas-de-Calais and Picardy.

Planning a weekend in Wimereux, another in Arras and a train plan to go to the Nuits Secrètes is therefore close to TER and the wallet between July 7 and August 27. To nab one of the 260,000 tickets on sale, you will have to be on the job on Tuesday June 27 and July 25dates of the opening of the ticket office.

Yes, there are two this year to give everyone more chance to enjoy them. The operation is always a great success and the Julyists tended to grab everything without leaving any for those who wanted to move in August.

As usual, we can travel whenever we want with these tickets on the 52 days of operation, weekends and holidays included. This is what it looks like in terms of destinations:

Sand and wave destinations

Once you have arrived at one of these stations, a shuttle/bus service to get as close as possible to the beach will be offered on presentation of your train ticket. Only Wimereux and Le Tréport stations will not have one, but the reason is quite simple: the beaches are within walking distance from the station.
