The Cuban Telecommunications Company SA (Etecsa) announced a new international recharge special that offers free use of the WhatsApp application for 30 days, as well as 25 GB to browse anywhere and 2,000 Cuban pesos (CUP) of main balance, although only for those who have recharged in recent days.
Through an official statement shared on its social networks, the telecommunications monopoly on the Island indicates that the offer will be available starting March 11, and will remain available to its customers for a week.
To receive these benefits, users must receive the equivalent of between 500 and 1,250 CUP from abroad.
The state company made it clear that the benefits included in this offer are the use of free WhatsApp for 30 days and 25 GB to browse the Internet, while the additional 2,000 CUP in the main balance will be reserved for those who have received a recharge , a plan or an international promotion in the last 30 days before.
“Customers who have not received recharges, plans, or international promotions in the last 30 days at the time of receiving this international recharge, will only receive the amount of money recharged in their main balance. Therefore, they will not receive 2000CUP as a balance,” reads a note shared by Etecsa.

If the appropriate conditions are met, the 2,000 CUP balance received may be used to carry out any action that requires them, such as making national and international calls, sending messages and purchasing bags, packages, Data plans, Minutes and SMS, making transfers and until you activate the Amigo plan.
It is important to note that this offer will be available only to those who receive their recharge from one of the international distributors recognized by the company, and that these benefits will not come if you try to recharge from Cuba with the MiTransfer bag or in stores in Freely Convertible Currency ( MLC).
If you still have valid vouchers and receive this new promotion, their expiration date will be extended for 30 days from the date of receipt of the last international recharge promotion.
