The Estonian credit institution AS “Holm Bank” has acquired a controlling stake in the Latvian financial services provider SIA “Best Līzings”, renaming the company SIA “Holm Bank Latvia”, which will provide consumer lending services.
AS “Holm Bank” is a credit institution in Estonia, while SIA “Holm Bank Latvia” is a provider of consumer lending services. AS “Holm Bank” offers a wide range of services in various countries, from the purchase of goods on installments and consumer loans to various credit card solutions, business loans and term deposits.
In Austria and Germany, term deposits have been offered since 2019 using the platform Raisin. In August 2020, AS “Holm Bank” started cross-border transactions in Sweden with an innovative financial solution – a digital credit card.
“More than ten years of experience in Latvia with installment credit and 25 years of experience in the consumer lending business in Estonia allow us to understand consumer needs and credit market trends. The financial literacy of the Latvian population is constantly improving. Our goal is to achieve significant market share growth in the coming years,” Rauno Klettenbergs, a representative of Holm Bank.
The company’s services in Latvia are goods repayment loans, consumer and car loans.
AS “Holm Bank” was founded in 1995 and has 100% Estonian capital. Last year, AS “Holm Bank” received a credit institution license from the European Central Bank. AS “Holm Bank” in Estonia employs almost 100 people and offers various types of financial services in Austria, Germany, Sweden and also in Latvia. SIA “Holm Bank Latvia” is a provider of consumer lending services, not a credit institution.
