We interview the international laureate of the Jānis Baltvilkas award – the Estonian writer Juhani Pitsep about his book “There is a golden moon ship”.
On July 24, the festival of children’s and young people’s literature in the name of the Jānis Baltvilkas award. Already at 11.00 a.m. in the Botanical Garden of the University of Latvia, International children’s literature readings “With bees … and cats”, twice a day – a moment of remembrance for Jānis Baltvilkas in the First Forest Cemetery.
But already in the evening, namely at six o’clock, in the Botanical Garden – the award ceremony, participation in it with invitations after prior registration. While we are preparing for this event, we are concluding a series of conversations with authors and illustrators whose contribution to this year’s children’s and young people’s literature is especially highly valued.
