Estonian Women’s Perspectives: A KENA Report

KENA will do everything to ensure that people’s livelihood does not become even more difficult in the coming years. Economic instability combined with unprecedented tax increases are making people’s daily lives even more difficult. The constant increase in the price of food and fixed living costs is getting more and more momentum from the new year due to increases in taxes and taxes and new taxes.

KENA believes that the proposed direct and indirect tax increases must be stopped immediately. A graduated income tax must be quickly implemented instead of a tax increase.

To stop the increase in food prices, a lower rate of VAT on food products must be applied. The price reduction has an immediate impact on people’s daily living.

KENA does not believe that it is right that they want to make family allowances based on need, that an additional income tax will be imposed on the increase of pensions. The implementation of such measures in Estonia will further reduce people’s satisfaction in the country.

Today we are in the biggest population crisis in the last hundred years. With such a low birth rate, the Estonian country is not sustainable, and the measures recommended by population scientists must be implemented immediately. Studies carried out in different countries indicate the need to give families and young women a sense of security in society.

KENA believes that there must be no people in Estonia who do not have health insurance. Health care services must be available to all Estonian residents, young and old. KENA does not believe that it is right to raise the visitation fee, because that decision would reduce the availability of health care services for everyone in Estonia.

The issue of domestic violence, which is unfortunately widespread in our society, remains unresolved. When a violent relationship ends, victims should not be forced into family reconciliation, and victims need support to fight for a safe future for themselves and their children. The directives derived from the Istanbul Convention have largely not been implemented in Estonia. KENA believes that this issue needs to be addressed immediately.

Violence against women is still a topical issue in Estonia. The biggest problem is that the legislation does not protect the victims. KENA supports the introduction of new regulation in this area.

KENA believes that Estonia must be a place where we all have a good time living together. Estonian children, youth, women, families, elderly people and people with special needs need special attention in society.

KENA adopted this statement at its last annual meeting, where a new board was also elected, consisting of:

## Estonians Struggle with ⁢Economic Hardship: KENA Demands Change

**Tallinn, Estonia** (Date) – The Estonian National Party (KENA) has issued a strong ‍statement‌ expressing⁣ growing concern over the worsening economic climate in Estonia‍ and its impact on citizens’ livelihoods. They⁤ argue that proposed tax increases will only exacerbate the situation and call for immediate policy changes to alleviate the burden ‍on Estonian families.⁣

KENA criticizes the government’s approach, stating that **”Economic instability ⁢combined with unprecedented tax increases are making people’s daily lives even more difficult.”** The party highlights the escalating costs of basic necessities‍ like food⁢ and housing, which are ⁣further aggravated by⁣ new taxes and levies.

**”KENA believes that the proposed direct and indirect tax increases must be stopped immediately,”** the statement reads. Instead, they champion⁢ the implementation of a graduated income tax system that‌ would be fairer and less burdensome for lower-income earners.

To address soaring food prices, KENA advocates for‌ a reduced VAT rate on food products. **”The price reduction has an immediate impact on people’s daily living,”** the⁤ party emphasizes, stressing the urgency of this measure.

Furthermore, KENA‌ vehemently opposes the proposal‌ to⁣ base family allowances on need and ⁤impose additional income tax on pension increases, believing ‍such measures will⁢ further diminish public satisfaction and erode ⁤the social safety ⁣net.

The party also raises alarm over Estonia’s demographic crisis, labeling it **”the biggest population crisis in the last hundred years.”** With alarmingly low birth rates threatening the sustainability of the nation, KENA stresses⁤ the urgent need for policies that encourage family formation and support young women.

⁣ **”Studies carried out in different countries indicate the need to give families and young⁤ women a sense of security in society,”**‌ the statement asserts.

KENA calls for universal access to healthcare, stating that **”there must be no people ⁢in Estonia who do not have health insurance. Health care services must be ⁢available to‌ all ‌Estonian residents.”**

The statement concludes by demanding swift and decisive action from the government to protect‍ the well-being of Estonian citizens and safeguard the⁣ future of the nation.
