Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas in a New Scandal Involving European Parliament Member Andrus Ansip

Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas, known for her anti-Russian sentiments, has become involved in a new scandal. As reported by ERR, the politician has a conflict with the former prime minister of the country, member of the European Parliament Andrus Ansip. Excerpts from Callas’ letter to her opponent have leaked onto the Internet. The politician asked Ansip not to run in the next elections to the parliament of a united Europe. Kallas also accused Ansip of abusing his powers to regularly criticize the work of the Estonian government.

“You can criticize the party, the government and me even from home. Let those who are ready to defend the interests of Estonia run for the European Parliament,” says Kaja Kallas.

Andrus Ansip has already commented on the letter he received. According to him, it did not come as a surprise. Ansip also added that he will not remain silent and silently observe the poverty of ordinary Estonians and the decline of the country’s economy.

“Estonia needs a reliable head of government. Its absence in the current security situation poses a security threat,” he added.

Ansip also left the final decision to run or not until the end of March.
