While Estavana and Edwin relax in the cultural hotspot Siem Reap in Cambodia, they think back to their hot air balloon ride. “We were just in that hot air balloon and you came across your daughters for a moment,” Estavana begins. “It’s nice of you to say that,” Edwin responds. “Because that’s the beauty of the cliché,” he continues. “The first daughter makes you think ‘we had that emotion then’, and then the second one comes… roef!”, while he imitates tears with his hands. “Beautiful, isn’t it? And you?” he asks. “Yes, I know. When you have a daughter, it is the most beautiful but at the same time the most difficult thing. That care you receive. That feeling. I had such a hard time dealing with that,” Estavana answers.
“Look, of course they say ‘it’s the most beautiful thing there is’, but at the same time they also say that the care you receive,” Estavana continues. “Yes, the responsibility you get for that,” says Edwin.
The handball player explains: “That insecurity you have and I normally don’t have. And then a little one like that comes along and you think: ‘this is mine, I have to take care of this.’
Edwin does not hesitate to give her some valuable advice: “I think that when raising a child or having such a child, you just have to trust your own instincts. Follow your own feelings, I think. So you don’t have to trust me. Don’t worry about anything, I just say follow your own feelings.”
