Necaxa lived through a golden decade in the 90’s and took three final series to the Azteca Stadium, with two return matches included
The Azteca Stadium will host a duel of the final series in the Liga BBVA MX without America after 22 and a half years, since the local Cruz Azul and Santos will decide the champion of Guard1anes 2021 on his court next Sunday, May 30. In the 1994-95 Season, Necaxa finished fourth in the standings, beat Tecos in the quarterfinals (4 to 1), then equaled Chivas at one goal and advanced to the final thanks to the away goal rule, to end with two duels played at the Azteca Stadium against Cruz Azul, with a favorable balance of 3 to 1.
