Dubai, United Arab Emirates In an important step towards environmental sustainability, the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy commissioned G42 in 2021 with the extremely important task of establishing a state-of-the-art wastewater testing laboratory across Abu Dhabi. This initiative aims to protect water resources in the region, detect polluted materials, and ensure community health. With the aim of achieving its goal within the ambitious and forward-looking timeline, J42 collaborated with Gulf Scientific Corporation (GSC) to implement this pioneering project.
The announcement was accompanied by setting a strict deadline for project delivery, as the agreement stipulated that the laboratory would see the light within one year. In order to meet this exceptional requirement, G42 has benefited from the expertise of the three leading companies: GSC, Waters and Perkin Elmer. With their joint efforts, the companies played a pivotal role in carrying out the proof-of-concept process, which is an important step for a project of this scale and rigor.
The integrated wastewater analysis workflow scheme, meticulously prepared by GSC, Waters and Perkin Elmer, was a key pillar in the initiative’s success. In this context, a range of advanced technologies have been harnessed, including LC-MS, TP-LC-MS, BP-GC-MS, TP-GC-MS Flight time from Waters.
The use of these modern tools allowed the evaluation of important parameters such as pharmaceuticals and personal care products, pesticides, anesthetics, hormones, and heavy metals.
