Sad images at the Hamdi Agrebi Stadium in Rades a few minutes before the start of the semi-final first leg of the African Champions League between Esperance Sportive de Tunis and Al Ahly from Cairo.
Clashes between Blood and Gold supporters and the police broke out inside the Olympic stadium in Radès. The police responded to the violence of the fans with tear gas. Following these incidents, the players returned to the locker rooms. The kickoff of the match scheduled for 5 p.m. could be delayed.
Note that this is the first match to be played in the presence of the public since March 2020 and the health crisis caused by the Coronavirus. 5,000 supporters were allowed to attend this match.
