Native Grigny (Essonne), the singer Ronisia was back this Friday, April 16, 2021 at the” Henri Barbusse Youth Space to celebrate theobtaining her first gold single and deliver a copy to mayor of the city Philippe Rio.
A reward that the 21-year-old grignoise obtained thanks to his title Landing, who became certified gold single eight months after its release and whose clip has nearly 38 million views on YouTube.
“This is where my pearl fans are”
“It was important and symbolic for me to give my first gold single to the city of Grigny because it is here that my first fans are, those who have encouraged and given strength”, underlines the artist nibble. It was on this stage that I sang for the first time in front of an audience ”.
“She was a shy young girl but you could tell she liked to sing. She was rather gifted so we encouraged her in this direction ”, remembers Mamadou and José with pride, who for many years have been supervising young people at Espace Henri Barbusse.
–“I never thought that I was going to be able to make music”
Schooled nearby, at the Pablo Neruda college, the young grignoise explains having frequented the place for a long time, especially during school holidays to participate in dance lessons.
“I’ve always loved to sing, but back then I only did it in front of my close friends. I never thought that I was going to be able to make music and be successful, ”recalls Ronisia, who had started training to become a special education teacher.
If she finally launched fully into singing, it is by her admission thanks to Oussi Touré, her manager and friend: “It was he who really gave me confidence and who pushed me to persevere” , confides the young woman who still lives in Grigny. A few weeks ago, she had notably toured her city to celebrate this golden single with the inhabitants.

A project in preparation
On the occasion of her return to the Espace Jeunes Henri Barbusse, the young singer received the City Medal from Philippe Rio.
“We are happy, proud and admiring your career”, the mayor of Grigny told him in particular, calling on him not to let go: “The most important thing is what you are going to do tomorrow”.
Precisely, the young artist is in the middle of preparing a new project. “We don’t know yet if it will be an EP or an album but it will be released before the end of the year,” Ronisia reveals. Before coming back to play a concert in Grigny when the health situation allows? “Why not”, concludes the young woman, smiling under her mask.
