30 young singers are involved in the youth choir of the Esslinger Stadtkirche – for many this choir is like a family. In the summer, choir director Uwe Schüssler and his ensemble want to travel to India to make musical contacts.
The youth choir of the Esslinger Stadtkirche is known for its ability to think outside the box. The repertoire ranges from sacred choral music of all eras and styles to modern church music, pop, jazz and folk. Church Music Director Uwe Schüssler and his 30 or so singers are always open to new ideas. This also includes opening your eyes to new horizons: in 2017 the youth choir was a guest in Malaysia. Now the next big project is pending: This summer, India is the destination of a two-week choir trip.
