Aromatherapy based Eucalyptus essential oil for the prevention of coughs and mucus; massages with spearmint essential oil to soothe feverish states e
with addition of ginger essential oil to reduce digestive disorders and stomach aches in children.
These are just some of the natural remedies that will be illustrated Friday, October 18, 2024, at hours 5.00 pm, in the Council Room of the Province of Materaduring the second appointment dedicated to essential oils for the well-being of children.
The meeting is organized within the framework of “Naturally well-being” project proposed by the Al Jalil Yoga APS social promotion association, Yoga, Ayurveda, Aromatherapy and Meditation study center and will be led by Rosalia Stellacci and Maria Teresa Melodia.
“The use of phytotherapeutics is characterized by the history of man, and recently – declare the promoters in a note – scientific research has had an important development in highlighting the biological potential of essential oils, aromatic substances of vegetal origin, which are integral part of phytotherapy, collecting evidence of effectiveness of complementary treatments in various pathologies (such as dermatological, uro-gynecological, gastrointestinal, respiratory, neurological ones) and especially in the prevention and/or treatment of some infectious pathologies, including drug-resistant ones .
To naturally help the immune system, prevent and calm seasonal ailments, especially in children – continues the note – we want to spread and disseminate knowledge of the benefits of essential oils. In fact, as excellent allies for our health and well-being, they have an action that can be associated with natural antibiotics, which are also rich in clinically recognized antibacterial and antifungal properties.
Considering the increasingly widespread and indiscriminate use of drugs and the consequent resistance to antibiotics – concludes the note – it seems useful to inform families and raise their awareness of the use of natural remedies to strengthen the immune system of the little ones and thus promote correct education to support prevention and traditional treatments.”
Dosage, application, safety and method of use will be illustrated during the free meeting open to all families with children and adolescents who want to approach and make the natural world their own from childhood and throughout their lives, to encourage the psycho-physical well-being of their children.
