Esselunga scam, beware to what has already happened to some people who have fallen into this trap. This is a situation in which obviously the well-known supermarket chain has nothing to do with it and is indeed an injured party. In fact, seeing one’s name approached to a full-blown offense certainly does not please.

The chain has turned 65 and for that occasion some criminals are trying to take advantage of it with messages in which fake shopping vouchers are promised for an amount of 500 euros. So be careful to be wary of such communications, it is a scam in Esselunga and to all of us.

And this is where the scam comes in: it’s about a phishing attempt by others, or to have our sensitive data and even bank details delivered. In fact, the excuse used is to cover the shipping costs to send the non-existent voucher home. If we did, we would lose all the savings on our account.

When messages like this come in, either by e-mail or text message, you always have to delete them, without ever opening them. And if we were to open them and there are links attached with lots of invitations to click on them, you will not have to never do that. Ever and never. And keep in mind that it is possible to run into the same threat also on social networks, Facebook and Instagram on everyone.
