The club Chartres had already formalized the departure of his Romanian left-back Dan Emil Racotea. The latter has today formalized its future destination: it will evolve for the next two seasons on the side of Bidasoa Irun, in Liga Asobal, where he completes a position left by Rudy Seri and Léo Renaud-David this summer. Great hope of world handball when he played in Plock, Racotea did not manage to transform the test by arriving at Veszprém. Loaned to Chartres this season, he had scored seven goals in his first game before seeing his statistics decline, then not appearing in the Chartrain jersey as of November, where his Achilles tendon pain woke up. Operated in early December, it should have returned to the field in March, but the coronavirus crisis has blocked this return. Racotea, 25 next month, will therefore try to revive with the Basque club, with which he will compete in the European Handball League. For his new coach Jacobo Cuétara, quoted in the club press release, Racotea is “A very great player. We are talking about one of the continent’s great future players. ” He is the second recruit of the Basque club, while Chartres has found his replacement for several weeks, in the person of Lukas Urban.
