ESIEA: Four-hour media strike on Wednesday – 2024-02-27 18:37:13

With its announcement, ESIEA announced that it participates in the work stoppage, 12-16:00, declared by POESY on Wednesday, February 28, on the occasion of the completion of one year since the tragedy of Tempi.

“The country’s journalists claim: Substantial investigation of the case and punishment of those responsible – Collective Bargaining Agreements with real wage increases – Decent working conditions – No more profiteering and precision.

ESIEA participates in the work stoppage declared by POESY tomorrow, Wednesday 28 February, 12.00-16.00
The Board of Directors of ESIEA is participating in tomorrow’s work stoppage, declared by POESY for all journalists, from 12.00 until 16.00.

At the completion of one year since the tragic accident in Tempe with the 57 dead and their families demanding justice and punishment of those responsible, while precision and profiteering are draining the income of workers and pensioners, public hospitals are collapsing and the lives of citizens are getting worse, the country’s journalists claim:

Substantial investigation of the case and punishment of those responsible
Collective Labor Agreements with real wage increases
Decent working conditions
No more profiteering and precision
Journalists stand by the fair fight of farmers and support the fight of health workers for upgraded public hospitals, and students for public higher education.

Note: Excluded are the colleagues who during this time will cover the event in Tempi and any other commemorative event, as well as the strike mobilizations.
