Escuela Viva Danza will present its traditional gala at the municipal theater – La Discusión

Next Monday, December 11, the Viva Danza School will present its traditional ballet gala at the Municipal Theater of Chillán, an event that they perform for the second consecutive year in the Great Hall. This time, the more than 150 students who attend the school will present everything they have learned and rehearsed during 2023 through two classic works: The Nutcracker and Cinderella.

The presentation that concludes the pedagogical year of the school’s annual courses, which are taught by its teacher Daniela Salgado, who is also director of the ballet and contemporary dance academy.

It was the same director who expressed that these presentations will also be focused on what Christmas is, also having the experience of last year, where the Great Hall of the Theater was filled with people to see the plays.

“On this occasion, we are going to present two works, one is the Nutcracker Ballet, which is a classic Christmas ballet, it is very beautiful, with a very beautiful aesthetic and a lot of fantasy. And the second is a Suite from the Cinderella Ballet, starring Yissela Roa, one of the school’s dancers, who also recently traveled to the dance world championship,” Daniela mentioned.

For this occasion, two works will be done due to the number of students that the academy currently contains, one of the largest within the Ñuble region. It was in that sense that the protagonist of Cinderella herself, Yissela Roa, maintained that the presentation is the result of a whole year of rehearsals.

“It is the first time that I have been given such an important role and it is something in which we have all worked hard, as a group, and we have put love into it, both in composition and creation. In addition, it has helped us unite as colleagues, because we rehearse every day.”

Lissette Riveros is another of the school’s students and will also be part of the presentations. In this regard, she commented that “we hope that everything turns out nice and perfect, so that we can also enjoy that moment and that everyone likes it. So you are invited to see the work, because we have put a lot of heart into it.”

The presentations will be at 7:30 p.m. and tickets can be purchased directly at the Theater box office or also at the school, located at 761 El Roble Street. Also, this weekend they will be available at the Dideco offices, at Isabel Riquelme 523.
