Elements of the Escobedo Citizen Security Secretariat assisted a two-year-old baby who was wandering around the streets of Colonia Infonavit Monterreal at dawn.
The officers were carrying out their tour aboard unit 898 through the streets of the aforementioned neighborhood, when, while passing through the intersection of Avenida Paseo de La Amistad and Cerrada de la Luz, they observed the minor walking alone.
The officers came down from the unit to check on the minor, and upon finding that he was alone, they proceeded with the protection protocol.
Given this, the officers made a tour of the sector to locate the child’s home, without success, and transferred him to the offices of the Victim Care Unit (UNAVI) of the Secretariat for Citizen Security.
Hours later, when procedures were being carried out to receive the child, a couple arrived at UNAVI who claimed to be the child’s parents.
The couple, who said they resided in Guadalupe, reported that they were at a party in the nearby place where they found the infant and did not realize when he left the place.
Because they did not submit official documentation and apparently the child has not yet been registered, he remained under the protection of the Secretary of Security.
In the morning, the minor was made available to the Municipal DIF while the proceedings for paternity accreditation are carried out.
