Escape from Tarkov Introduces New Armored Personnel Carrier Mechanic: Balance Changes and Player Complaints

Another mechanic has been introduced into Escape from Tarkov. As often happens, players encounter unusual things and cannot fully understand whether this is a feature or a bug.

Recently, the armored personnel carrier mechanic was introduced for Escape from Tarkov. The combat vehicle moves and stops at certain points, and players can get into it to chat with the driver and order a “taxi”; covering fire; delivery of things to the cache (if you are naughty and attack an armored personnel carrier, then he can respond).

The developers of Escape from Tarkov decided to make some changes to the balance of mechanics, revised karma rewards, capacity and cost of services:

  • The cost of the BTR “Delivery” service has been reduced;
  • The number of cells in the trunk of an armored personnel carrier has been increased at all positive levels of the Buyer’s reputation:
  • With karma from 0 to 1: from 8 to 10 cells;
  • For cards from 1 to 2: with 10 to 12;
  • For cards from 2 to 3: with 12 to 15;
  • For cards from 3 to 4: with 15 to 18;
  • For cards from 4 to 5: with 18 to 20;
  • For cards from 5 to 6: with 20 to 24;
  • With karma of 6 and above: from 24 to 28.

IN comments some members of the Escape from Tarkov community complained about the mechanics: for some, the armored personnel carrier “attacks just like that, for no reason”; some paid for the delivery service to the cache, but in fact the loot was never delivered, the victims simply lost money.
