The police headquarters announced that the migrants found will all be quarantined. Law enforcement officials have reported that there are no casualties and that the situation in Cara is now under control.
Mayor Caltanissetta: “Cara is not suitable for hosting migrants” The mayor of Caltanissetta, Roberto Gambino, has made it known that he has asked the government not to send more migrants to Caltanissetta: “Pian Del Lago is unable to contain them because apparently it is not a suitable structure. I expect that nobody will come to Caltanissetta anymore and that Cara is emptied by those in quarantine. We thank the police for tracking down more than 100 migrants but I remain of the opinion that they cannot be here. ”

The president of the Sicily Region, Nello Musumeci wrote on Facebook after the news of the escape of the 100 migrants from the Cara di Pian del Lago, to Caltanissetta.
