Escape attempt ends in Darmstadt with arrest – FFH.de

A 37-year-old driver’s escape through Darmstadt ended on Tuesday night at the police station.

Officials wanted to first subject the driver of a Ford Focus with Main-Kinzig-Kreis license plate to a general traffic control in downtown Darmstadt. However, the Ford driver disregarded the stop signs of the police in Liebigstrasse and tried to escape with his car, according to a police spokesman.

No drivers license

However, the patrol of the second police station was able to catch up with the volatile vehicle and stop the driver in the Pallaswiesenstrasse area. The reason for the attempt to escape was then quickly determined: the 37-year-old had drunk alcohol, had no driver’s license, but had a small amount of narcotics with him. The Darmstadt resident was provisionally arrested and reported.
