ESAD Tarbes Opens its Doors to Middle and High School Students for Arts Studies Day

Before the post-baccalaureate selections and the advanced course choices, the ESAD has chosen to open its doors to middle school students, high school students and all those who wish to change direction.

A way to get a first impression of arts studies in Tarbes. “We organize this day every year and above all we want it to be informal” explains the director of the ESAD of Tarbes Jean-François Dumont.

“People walk around the school and our workshops at Carmel. They meet teachers and students at random in the room and ask them all kinds of questions, particularly about courses but also equivalences if necessary. This day is also an opportunity to exhibit the work of our students, to invite former students to talk about after ESAD, to attend performances. It is a first vision of the artistic practice that we offer to the school.”

And there is no shortage of activities: film photography demonstration, performance, conference with a former Nicolas Tubérin, live practical workshop, the ESAD offers a large number of activities to introduce people to its school. As for young amateurs, there are also practical courses during school holidays. From February 19 to 23, 8-12 year olds will have “Collage Game”. From February 19 to 23, teenagers aged 15 and over will be able to work on collage with “Collage, quite an art!” As for February 26 and 27, they will be reserved for graffiti and street art for children aged 12 to 18.
