In the badly ranked derby, ES Maintenon-Pierres and C’Chartres Football (d) shared the points yesterday after a lively 2-2 draw.
Undefeated for three matches, ES Maintenon-Pierres had a lot to do to outrun Chartres, one point behind. At the start of the game, Maintenon slightly dominated, but without any real danger for the CCF defense. On a counter, Chartrain Barry opened the scoring by lobbing the over-advanced goalkeeper (0-1, 12′). ESP players would then wake up and speed up. Lerouge shot at the goalkeeper (21′), then Cavanié imitated him (29′). The Chartres counters were led by Autret, very offensive, but the vigilant Chazal blocked all the offensives. In the 43′, Hellegouarch played with the Chartres defense and passed to Cavanié who centered on Lerouge for the equalizer (1-1). Maintenon pushed again and got a corner. Hellegouarch found Follet’s header, which scored (2-1, 45′).
In front at the break, the locals were going to suffer the attacks from Chartres throughout the second period, but the visitors struggled to find the frame and came up against a good Bitoumbou. On a good incursion, Goue forced Cat into a save (73′). The incoming Chartres, Goue, then Gimonette, were more pressing. On a new acceleration from Chartres, Gimonette brought her team up to par despite the interventions of Cat (2-2, 77′). The entry into play of Perrone and Sevin for Maintenon rebalanced the match but the score did not change. The points split made sense.
