Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu confirmed that he had personally met with the UN Secretary General’s Special Envoy for Cyprus and the Chief of UN Peacekeeping Mission in Cyprus, Colin Stewart, and said that they will meet again on Monday.
to Cyprus Post Ertuğruloğlu said, “Our talks with the UN are about to conclude with an agreement tomorrow… That is, we will continue to build roads.”
Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu summarized the latest situation on the field and at the table with the following words;
“There is no possibility of giving up on the project. No one, including the UN, is in a discussion about whether or not this road should be built. Everyone should know that this road will be done.
We continue our contacts to reach an agreement with the UN on the… Colin Stewart pAzartesi will come again… I can say that we will reach an agreement today and tomorrow… We will finalize it and continue road construction on the land…”
