Release-Friday
It’s that time again – Friday has just started and that means – as always – the new releases of the current release week are here. While we have to wait until 3 p.m. for the chart positions of the past week to be published, the race for the top of the next charts has already started since midnight. So that all rap fans are up to date, we have a list of the newly released albums and songs.
Many will ask why Friday was chosen for the release. It’s not because many fans have a lot of time every Friday to hear the new songs – the reason is completely different:
The weekly German single charts start a new cycle every Friday. That’s why Fridays are also prioritized for releases – in order to generate as many chart-relevant Spotify streams and single purchases as possible, it has become so established that almost all rappers publish their new songs on a Friday at midnight.
